He is an average kid that no one understands, small, wears a pink cap, and has noticeable buck teeth. His parents are rarely around and take little interest in his activities, which makes it easy for him to hide his fairy godparents Cosmo and Wanda. He wishes for nearly everything he wants, which sometimes causes havoc. Timmy is smart, but has a short attention span and that he nearly lost his resourceful and physical skills, sometimes is good, obstinaded, selfish, and was required to go to "wishing rehab", where he re-learns how to rely on his own skills again. He is a superhero due to Crimson Chin addictions under the name of Cleft, The Boy Chin Wonder plus other names. In "Fairly OddBaby", Timmy gets a fairy baby brother whom he named Poof. However, Cosmo has the infant instead of Wanda. In the Wishology Trilogy, Timmy is revealed to be the one to defeat the Darkness. In the end, Timmy becomes friends with the Darkness, who had only been wanting a friend. In a season six episode, Timmy finally celebrates his 11th birthday.

In the movie(2011), Timmy celebrated his 23rd birthday. He also sees Tootie who is now beautiful. He starts to fall in love with her but if he does, his fairies will be gone.

Poof Cosma (voiced by Tara Strong) is Cosmo and Wanda's only child, and Timmy's little fairy godbrother. He was introduced into the series in the 2008 special Fairly OddBaby. He was the first fairy baby born in over 10,000 years, the last one being Cosmo. His untapped magical powers are channeled and controlled through his magic rattle. "Timmy" is the first word he says other than his own name (which is pointed out in the episode "Mission Responsible"). He is very attached to him, and will cry when he's not around. Depending on how he is feeling or what he is doing, a variety of different things can occur. In Wishology, Poof becomes a Ninja after watching a movie based on Timmy's victory against the Darkness. As with most young children, Poof quickly adapts to the violence that he sees or has watched. His favorite games are hide and seek and spaceman as revealed in "Planet Poof" and "He Poofs, He Scores".

Chester McBadbat (voiced by Frankie Muniz (2001�2003); Jason Marsden (2003�present)[citation needed]) is a brace-wearing kid, and one of Timmy's best friends. He lives in a trailer with his father in an impoverished community with few amenities. Although his mom was mentioned in the episode "Teeth for Two", she has not been revealed in the show. He is generous and cares more for others than himself, as every time he's obtained magic, he has used his wishes to try to improve the lives of others, even though it usually leads to disaster. He becomes the only classmate of Timmy to know about his godparents' existence in Fairy Idol, although neither of them mention it in later episodes.
